We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 - October 15 each year. Hispanic Heritage Month honors people from the Latino community and the important contributions they have made to the world. It is also a time to honor our diverse cultures.

At St. Mary’s, we concluded Hispanic Heritage Month by having a school wide assembly the morning of October 15. Each class had a special person to present to the school. First grade honored Jorge Ramos in our presentation. Jorge Ramos is a famous newsperson in the United States. He is a Mexican - American man, and we are inspired by his accomplishments.

Everyone worked very hard on our presentation. The presentation was truly magnificent. Check out the pictures below of our presentation of the life of Jorge Ramos.
