How I Can Make A Difference In PE Class
I can make a difference by:
Coming to class ready to listen and follow directions.
Trying to do my best each and every time.
Helping others when I get the chance to do so.
Doing the right thing even when nobody is watching.
Students are expected to come to school prepared for Physical Education class with gym uniforms and properly secured tennis shoes.
Adhere to the rules or instructions of the lesson or activity
Always participate with effort and seriousness in all activities.
Demonstrate a commitment to the process, lesson or activity.
Demonstrate proper movement skills and concepts.
Display honesty during the lesson or activity.
Allow equal opportunity for others to participate.
If your child is injured or cannot participate in P.E. class, please provide a doctor or parent note to the health room of the injury/reason.
Grading is determined by participation, skill, and most importantly behavior and sportsmanship.
In Physical Education class we will cover basketball, soccer, volleyball, football, as well as other sports and game activities. In month of September we will focus on Fitness, how do we define "Good Fitness"? The 4th through 8th will choose a fitness goal(s) that they will track for the year and participate in a fitness test consisting of push-ups, sit-ups and a 50 yard dash. PreKindergarten through 3rd grade will also participate in a 50 yard dash.
